Eventing White Starts 2027 Where She Left Off Sharon White & Jaguars Duende · Bouckaert CCI4*-S, Qualifier 1 of 22 |
Sharon White & Jaguars Duende won the Bouckaert CCI4*-S on Sunday, the first qualifier of the 2026/27 US Equestrian Open of Eventing. White is the reigning Series Champion, having won the 2026 title earlier this month on Claus 63.
This weekend's Qualifier victory came on a different horse, the 10-year-old Jaguars Duende. It was the sixth international win for White & the mare, and their second at CCI4*-S after winning Tryon in May 2025.
Two Four-Star Wins at 10
Sharon White & Jaguars Duende
Jaguars Duende won a CCI4*-S at Tryon in May 2025 as a 9-year-old. Bouckaert makes it two at the level, and the horse is still only 10. Twenty-one qualifiers remain before Morven Park. That is a long runway for a horse already winning at four-star.
Holling Leads Without the Win
Jonathan Holling tops the standings after one qualifier. He took second on Fernhill Esmerelda and seventh on Fernhill Copain for 45 points, five more than White earned for the win.
Bouckaert ran on the smaller points scale, 40 for first, as the field was under 25 starters. Holling has two of his six counting slots filled. White has one.

The series goes west this weekend to Galway Downs, October 29 to November 1. TerraNova follows on November 11 to 15 and closes the 2026 part of the calendar. The qualifiers resume at Bouckaert in March.
One qualifier down. Twenty-one to go.

Dressage Kohmann Takes the 2026 Series Title |
Kevin Kohmann is the 2026 US Equestrian Open of Dressage Series Champion. He finished on 65 points from four starts on three horses, and every one of those starts contributed to Kevin's win.
Dressage at Devon put him on top when Kevin & Sonata MF won the CDI-W freestyle on 77.105% for 25 points in the mare’s first international freestyle. That large points haul rocketed Kohmann from ninth to first in the Series. Dünensee had already banked 25 points from two separate Wellington World Cup freestyles, and Famous added 15 with a win at TerraNova in May.
Kohmann wasn’t entered at TerraNova II, the last qualifier, and didn’t need to be. The small field there capped the winner at 15 points, which put 65 out of reach for everyone on the entry list. Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu finished second in the Series on 55, with Devon Kane third on 54.
The Final is 17 days away, and Kohmann hasn’t said whether he’ll be there. He took Sonata MF to a World Cup qualifier in Mexico last weekend and finished sixth on 71.545%. Any of his three horses would qualify for Thermal, but the rules allow just one.

Jumping Keenan and Kick On Own the Clock in Washington |
Lillie Keenan & Kick On won the $340,000 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Washington on Saturday night, taking the President’s Cup Grand Prix at the Washington International Horse Show in 36.69 seconds. They were the only pair in the 13-horse jump-off to finish inside 37 seconds.
Daniel Coyle & Farrel came closest, 0.44 seconds back (37.13). Shane Sweetnam & Pia Maria H took third in 38.09 and McLain Ward & Jordan Molga M were fourth in 38.44 seconds. Erynn Ballard & Genius de Rance finished fifth for Canada.
Thirteen of 22 starters went clear over the 1.60m first round. Seven of them jumped clear again in the jump-off.
Kick On at the Top Level
Across their career at 1.60m five-star, Grand Prix and World Cup level, Keenan & Kick On have started 15 classes and jumped 5 clears from 16 rounds. That 31% clear rate sits above the 22% average for horses on the same courses.
The stallion has one win and two podiums at the level.
Open Riders Fill the Top Five
Ten Open Final riders started in Washington and eight of them made the jump-off. Between them they took every place in the top five: Keenan, Coyle, Sweetnam, Ward and Ballard.
Laura Kraut & Tres Bien Z finished eighth, Natalie Dean & Pedro van de Barlebuis were eleventh. Rodrigo Pessoa & Major Tom retired in the jump-off and shared twelfth. Kent Farrington & Rexton and Daniel Bluman & Gemma W each had a single rail in round one and just missed the jump-off.
Sweetnam Moves to the Top of the World Cup Standings
Third place in Washington moved Shane Sweetnam to the top of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup North American League standings after three legs. He has 32 points, seven clear of Beat Mändli on 25, with McLain Ward third on 24.
Daniel Coyle’s second place lifted him to fourth on 21. Keenan’s 20 points for the win took her straight into a share of fifth with Savannah Jenkins and Sharn Wordley, and Washington was her first leg of the season.
Four legs remain before the Final in Gothenburg, Sweden, from 23 to 28 March 2027, and only each rider’s best four results count. Toronto is next, from 10 to 14 November.
Ireland and the US by the Numbers
Ireland sent three riders into the class and all three jumped double clear. Coyle and Sweetnam took second and third, and Christian Coyle & Chicago CM finished seventh in 43.22.
The US had the numbers. Eleven American riders started, six made the jump-off and three went clear twice: Keenan in first, Ward in fourth and Savannah Jenkins & Hector du ter in sixth. At nine, Hector du ter was the youngest horse in the class to jump two clear rounds, stopping the clock in 39.97. Kraut & Tres Bien Z were the quickest of the four-fault rounds in 38.69, a time that would have placed fifth with a clear.
Between them, the two nations filled six of the top seven places.
Thirteen in the jump-off. Seven clear. One under 37 seconds.
